Detroit Justice quickly dodges a monstrous foot coming crashing down towards her. She powers up her shields and gets ready to defend against another attack. However what happens next is something of a surprise, her attacker who was once towering over her at about 20 stories started to shrink back down to her normal height.

Colossal Woman! What do you think you are doing? We haven't seen anything from you or your teammates in over two years. Why are you coming out now? what are you planning?

Oh please little hero, tell me why you think I'd tell you anything, maybe I just got bored and needed to stretch my legs. There's nothing more fun than murdering a hero in her hometown.

Big words from a lady who made the mistake of not staying big enough to back them up!

Detroit Justice leaped towards the villainess and with all her strength she slammed a shield into her and it went right through her. Colossal Woman then threw a punch at the heroine and sent her flying into a building.

Two years is a long time hero, did you really think we were in hiding? We were getting stronger, better equipped for the next time you heroes decide to interfere with our plans. So what do you think of my improvements? did the doc do a good job at allowing me not just to grow, but to control my density? I can now go from a ghost to an invulnerable bitch. You don't stand a chance!

Detroit Justice got up and lunged at her enemy, dodging every attack, and trying to make some of her own, but it was futile. every attack that should have hit either connected with no effect or passed harmlessly through her, suddenly Colossal Woman put her hand through the hero's chest and started to solidify it. Detroit Justice began to scream.

Yes! Scream you weakling, I want to savor this moment. There is no way out, you are going to die and then your precious city will be nothing but rubble when I am done with it. You failed!

As Colossal Woman laughs triumphantly Detroit Justice's eyes focus on an item in the distance, nearly unconscious due to the pain she raises her arm up and projects a shield and fires it towards a power line. cutting through the wire like a winter breeze the line comes towards the two of them and makes contact. The electricity flows through both of them sending them flying back and into unconsciousness.

When Detroit Justice came to she was in a hospital bed being treated for electrical burns but it looked as though the Colossal Woman got away.

If this is what happened to just one of those killers, we may need some help when the others come back. I'm pretty sure she wasn't the only one with an upgrade.


Welcome to the first story in season 2, and as we can see this one also won't be too easy on our heroes. I have several new characters to introduce as well as some twists on the already established members of this universe. Stay tuned as it's only going to heat up from here!

Art was done by one of the most amazing artists I've ever had the privilege to hire as well as the guy who I commissioned from first, seems only fitting to start anew with his art again.
